FoilChart tracks what Pokémon and Lorcana cards are worth, and tries to explain why the number moves.
A price index for 30,870 trading cards, rebuilt every day. Each card, set, illustrator and Pokémon gets its own page with its current price, how it has moved, and the context — rarity, set, artist, print run — that usually explains the move.
It is run by one person as a side project. It sells nothing, takes no commission, and has no relationship with any marketplace.
Price history, 7/30/90-day changes and the all-time highs and lows come from a commercial card-price feed we license, which aggregates online marketplace listings with sales reported by physical card shops. Today’s headline price comes from our own daily market snapshot.
All of it describes the same thing: a raw, ungraded, Near Mint single on the open online market. Every figure is a lagging average of recent sales, not a live quote, and the footer of every page says what that excludes.
Most of the writing here is generated from our own data: the ranking pages, the weekly digests, the set debut reports, and the one-line observations on card and entity pages. Nothing is written by a language model from an outside source, and every sentence is computed from a figure shown on the same page.
The prediction log is the honest version of this. It records dated, falsifiable claims, scores them against the market rather than against zero, and runs a random control alongside so you can see whether the signals beat picking at random. If they do not, that will be visible here too.
